Play the Bay

Located just twenty minutes from downtown Victoria, Cordova Bay is a Certified Audubon Co-Operative Sanctuary. Facilities include an eighteen hole championship course, an executive nine hole par 3, a driving range, restaurant and lounge, as well as short game practice facilities.

Open year round, our greens are annual bluegrass, with chewing fescue, perennial rye, and colonial bent mix using for fairways and tees. Rough is rye and hard fescue, and sand is a silica.

NUMBER 17 AWAITS – Try not to think about this forced carry too early in your round. Remember this sage advice when standing on the 17 tee…when driving down the highway, you don’t focus on the ditch! Bye the way, the pond is 35 feet deep.

Dress Code: Ask mom

Cordova Bay maintains a relaxed and inclusive dress policy guided by the simple principle: “If your mother would approve, we approve.” However, mom should know that golf attire should be neat, clean, and appropriate for a family-oriented environment. Clothing displaying obscene, offensive, or discriminatory language, graphics, or images will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

If you're looking for suggestions, try clothing that is stylish, loose-fitting, and breathable. Since we are on the edge of a rainforest it's always good to have something waterproof on hand. We are happy to award bonus points for plus fours, anything argyle, wing tips and ascots. Alternatively we do not hesitate to issue demerit points for improper exhibition of horizontal stripes. In dress, deportment, and attitude, we expect our customers to honour the game of golf and respect the golf course.
