Welcome to the Home Page of the 2013 Mattick's Cup
 

The Matticks Cup is an annual year long competition open exclusively to Cordova Bay Men’s Club members.  Matticks Cup entry is a complimentary perk to your Cordova Bay Membership.

There are 28 designated “Matticks Cup days” throughout the year. Competition is medal play with your net score counting towards the competition. Dates can be found here

Players pay the applicable daily green fee. Play is from the Heron (blue) tees.

There will be days where scorecards are required to be turned in. This will be announced on the tee box on that day. Only scores with a corresponding card will be accepted.

Points will be awarded for each Matticks Cup day as follows: 1^st=100 points, 2^nd=95 points, 3^rd=90 points, and down to 20^th=5 points.

Each player’s 10 best results of the 28 available will count towards the standings.  Updated standings can be found weekly in the Men’s locker room at Cordova Bay GC and online at http://cordovabaygolf.com/mens/matticks--standings.

There are 3 divisions for the 2013 Matticks Cup.  One division based on the aforementioned Matticks Cup days – the top 7 players make the playoffs. The 2^nd division is based solely on our weekly Men’s night competition – the top 7 players make the playoffs. The 3^rd division is based on play in the Men’s Club tournaments open to all players (is. Not the seniors and not the mixer) – the top 2 players make the playoffs.

Upon completion of the regular season, the playoffs will begin.  The top finishers from each division enter into a playoff bracket (1 vs. 8, 2 vs. 7) etc. The 2 Tournament finalists enter ranked #4 - one in each bracket.

Playoffs happen on two specific days. The round of 16 will be played on September 29^th. Victors of those matches will enter the round of 8 on October 6.  The top 2 finishers from each playoff bracket are awarded the grand prize of a trip to the Vegas Baby Pro-Am in November 2013 (Tournament entry, Hotel, AirfareCredit).  FINAL MATCH PLAYED IN VEGAS USING THE STABLEFORD POINT SYSTEM. The 4 grand prize winners will travel to Las Vegas for 4 days of golf and 5 nights at Planet Holywood.  Accompanying the winning players to Vegas is one of Cordova Bay’s PGA of Canada professionals.  More information on the Vegas Baby Pro-Am tournament can be found on their website at www.vegasbaby.ca
